Jill Franklin

B.Sc. H.K., M.Sc.OT

 

Jill has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University, and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Alberta. She is a Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP).

Jill has worked with children since 2013 in school, home, and clinic settings. She is passionate about supporting children and families to engage more fully and confidently in their everyday lives. She believes that play and movement are powerful tools for learning and development, and this philosophy is reflected in her playful, active, and child-centered approach to therapy.

Jill’s practice values caregiver involvement and a multi-disciplinary team approach. She will work with you, your child and their team to develop functional goals tailored to your family’s needs. Her current areas of interest include: coaching caregivers, social learning, mental health, life skills and community integration, and understanding the impact of sensory processing and emotional regulation on functional independence.  

Jill works with children ages 2-18 with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing differences, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Pathological Demand Avoidance, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and kids with aggressive behaviours.
